Principal
Organisations that hold an Australian Financial Service Licence (AFSL) are eligible to apply to become a Principal Member of the Stockbrokers And Financial Advisers Association. The organisation may be either a Market Participant or a Non Market Participant.

Affiliate
Affiliate Membership is open to organisations that provide ancillary services to the industry such as education, legal, accounting, technology, training, research and information services.

Individuals
Practitioner
Practitioner Membership is open to finance professionals who are on the ASIC Financial Advisers Register.
A person will be eligible to apply for membership if they:
- can demonstrate that they are a fit and proper person
- can meet SAFAA’s knowledge and skills requirements
- commit to SAFAA’s CPD requirements
- undertake to abide by SAFAA’s Code of Conduct
- agree to be subject to SAFAA’s Conduct Review & Disciplinary System.
There are two Practitioner Membership categories:
Master Practitioner Member (MSAFAA) $495 pa
To be eligible, you must have spent at least 7 of the last 10 years in an advising, operations or management capacity with one or more Market Participants or a Principal Member of SAFAA.
Practitioner Member (MeSAFAA) $395 pa
To be eligible, you must have employment experience providing professional advice and/or services in an operations or management capacity within the stockbroking and financial advisory industry.
If you are an employee of a Principal Member of SAFAA, a fast track application process is available, as SAFAA is able to rely upon the imprimatur of the Principal Member.

Affiliate (AfSAFAA) $395 per annum
Affiliate Membership is open to persons who are service providers to the stockbroking and financial advisory industry. Eligible applicants include persons working for education institutions, stock exchanges, law firms, accounting firms, technology & training providers, and research and information service providers.
Honorary Life Fellow (FSAFAA)
In accordance with the Stockbrokers And Financial Advisers Association Rules, the Association’s Board may appoint a single Honorary Life Fellow each year.
