Her deep understanding of the unique risks faced by organisations in the technology sector lead to her interest and subsequent specialisation in educating and promoting the criticality of Australian businesses addressing and managing their cyber risks. Robyn works with the cyber insurance markets, cyber security organisations and government institutions.
Neville is a career finance executive with over 26 years of experience in Australia and South East Asia. He has a strong track record in leading and building businesses in Private Banking, Wealth Management and Funds Management, with additional experience in Private Equity, working across multi-cultural environments. Neville is an active member of the Foundation for Very Special Kids and a member of their Capital Raising Committee.
Andrew has over 30 years’ industry experience across major wealth markets and is a Sloan Fellow of London Business School. He has worked in asset management, platforms, pensions, and advice, in roles spanning strategy and marketing, as a senior executive, consultant, and director. Andrew commenced his career in the Australian industry, with roles including employer super lead at Commonwealth Bank, and products director at Rothschild Asset Management and as a senior executive with major pension funds including Australian Super and QSuper.
Pablo is the senior investment specialist for Stewart Investors, Sustainable Funds Group and was previously the head of responsible investment Asia Pacific for First Sentier Investors and head of responsible investment for Perpetual Limited. Pablo is the founder of Altiorem, a not-for-profit library and resource centre dedicated to helping people inside and outside finance to advocate for a sustainable financial system. Pablo is currently a director and former chair of the Responsible Investment Association of Australasia and sits on the Advisory committee of UNSW’s Australian Human Rights Institute.
Mike is a broking and wealth management industry veteran, having worked and led businesses across all of Asia’s main economies, as well as in Australia, the US and the UK. He was previously CEO of CommSec in Australia, Managing Director of APAC for MF Global, and from 2016 to 2020 was CEO of Investment Trends globally. From 2010 to 2017 he was a committee member of the China County Bank Supervisory Committee that provided governance over the CBA’s 15 County Bank in Henan and Hebei provinces.
Richard has spent twenty five years working across all asset classes in the funds management and pension fund industries and is currently CEO of Pendal Australia (formerly BT Investment Management Australia). Prior to this, Richard was Chief Investment Officer at First State Superannuation andGroup Executive at Perpetual Investments. Richard is the Chair of Impact Investing Australia, a member of the NSW Government Social Impact Investment Expert Advisory Group, Chair of the NRL Players Retirement Account, and a member of the CFA Institute Future of Finance Content Council.
Lex leads the Cyber capability of the Forensic Technology Services team at Clayton Utz. He has accumulated extensive experience in enterprise IT, specialising in the areas of digital forensics, incident response and intelligence. Lex has assisted companies to manage threats such as ransomware, stock fraud, insider threat, extortion, document fraud, and more. His diverse clients have ranged from international banks and critical infrastructure, to start-ups and NFP’s. Lex frequently speaks on topics such as cyber security, multimedia forensics, and IT governance.
Richard has been CommSec’s Managing Director since September 2018. Prior roles with CommSec include Head of Strategy, Head of Marketing and General Manager Customer Experience. Prior to his time at CommSec, Richard was Head of Marketing, Client Services & Product Development at E*TRADE Australia. For more than 20 years Richard has led teams in product development, brand and marketing, digital customer experiences, strategy and technology in building and driving the two largest online broking firms in Australia and Australia’s leading Mortgage Broker.
Belinda began her career at Clayton Utz, where she completed her articles and became a solicitor focusing on insurance and litigation. She then worked with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) focusing on regulatory policy and markets. In 2005, Ms Cameron moved into industry, where she operated as the General Counsel and Company Secretary for AIA Australia and later became CEO of AIA New Zealand. Prior to joining AFCA, Ms Cameron was the Chief of Customer Operations for MLC Life Insurance.
Mark has over 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur, investor and corporate adviser in New York, London and Sydney. From 1990 to 2000 Mark was the Australian and Asian representative of Hellman & Friedman following his training on Wall Street with James D. Wolfensohn and in London at Hudson Conway with Lloyd Williams. In 2000 Mark co-founded Carnegie, Wylie & Co Pty Limited with John Wylie. Carnegie Wylie was acquired by leading Wall Street bank, Lazard Inc in 2007, and following the sale, Mark was appointed the CEO of Lazard Australia Private Equity.
Based in Singapore, Steven oversees the development and management of key markets in the region, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam. Prior to his current role, he led market development for Refinitiv’s investment and advisory business across Asia Pacific, defining and leading sales execution into the investment banking and institutional asset management verticals. Steven has more than 20 years’ experience in financial markets and has also worked with Refinitiv in the United States and United Kingdom.
John has over 25 years’ experience in financial markets. Having joined Morgans Financial Limited in 1994 as a research analyst, he was appointed Managing Director in August 2016. Prior to that, John worked for KPMG and the Australian Stock Exchange. When he is not overseeing a team of 500 advisers across Australia, John enjoys helping the community and supports a variety of charitable entities, including Youngcare and Habitat for Humanity. He is Chairman of The Gregory Terrace Foundation and board member of Western Districts Rugby Football Club.

Dante has 20 years’ experience within financial services. Prior to joining the FPA, he worked in various senior roles within Financial Planning, compliance and technical with a number of organisations such as ClearView Financial Management, Zurich Financial Services, Asteron Life and Suncorp Bank. A proud CFP® professional, Dante is passionate about advancing the financial planning profession. He is also a director of the Future2Foundation, which is the foundation of the Financial Planning Profession, supporting young Australians with a second chance in life.
George has a career spanning over 26 years in financial services and wealth management, including over 13 years at Ord Minnett. George is responsible for the private wealth, marketing and advisory functions within Ord Minnett. Prior to joining Ord Minnett, George held Group Executive roles across sales, strategy and operations at Boston based bank, State Street and with listed Fintech company HUB24. George holds qualifications from Macquarie University, Deakin University and postgraduate qualifications from the Haas School of Business.
Rob’s career has been predominantly focused on international finance and investment banking in Australia, the UK and throughout Asia. Rob has significant experience and skills in strategic planning, performance management and marketing and has proven abilities in building businesses. After 18 months in the Managing Director role and a Board Member at SelfWealth, Rob recently transitioned to the Chairman role and plays a vital part in driving the business forward, utilising his years of experience in business development and investor relations.
Emma joined Airlie Funds Management in September 2016 in the role of Equities Analyst. Prior to joining Airlie, Emma held of the role of Investment Analyst at Fidelity International since 2013 covering healthcare, industrials, consumer services and building materials. Prior to SAFAA, Judith was CEO of the Australian Shareholders’ Association. She was National Director, Policy & Advocacy at Governance Institute of Australia and has been a member of the ASX Corporate Governance Council since 2005. She has been a member of Standards Australia’s Governance and Risk Management Committees and the ASIC Business Advisory Committee. In 2014, she was named in Australia’s 100 Women of Influence for her work in policy.
Belinda is a Non-Executive Director and strategic business advisor, with current roles on the boards of Citigroup, Ausgrid and Brisbane Airport Corporation. She was a commissioner and then deputy chairman of ASIC from 2007 to 2013 and so has a long interest in effective regulation of the stockbroking profession. An M&A lawyer by profession, she was a Partner of King and Wood Mallesons for 20 years. She is a Fellow of the Governance Institute, an AICD Fellow and a member of Chief Executive Women.
Ben leads Jarden’s Australian research team and consumer sector coverage, developing independent and thought-provoking insights to inform investor strategy. Ben joined Jarden from UBS, where he was head of the consumer research team, and deputy head of research for Australia and New Zealand, leading the development and promotion of UBS’ alternative data offering across Australasia. Since 2015 he has consistently ranked as Australia’s number one consumer analyst in multiple surveys across the retail and food and beverage sectors.
Stephen is the Chief Executive Officer of FASEA. Stephen has worked in financial services regulation for over three decades, most recently as a general manager with the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA). As well as his managerial responsibilities, Stephen was Chair of APRA’s Superannuation Industry Group. He has also worked with the International Organisation of Pension Supervisors, the Victorian Financial Institutions Commission and KPMG. Stephen is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Gillian joined JBWere in May 2019 and is Head of Alternative Investments in addition to leading JBWere’s approach to Responsible Investing. Prior to joining JBWere, Gillian was based offshore, holding senior multi-asset investment and structuring roles on trading floors at two global banks, working across Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
Dr Pamela Hanrahan
Dr Pamela Hanrahan is an internationally recognised expert in corporate law, corporate governance, financial services law, and business regulation. She is a former Regional Commissioner of ASIC and has conducted or advised several key governmental inquiries and commissions into aspects of financial regulation, including the Hayne Royal Commission. Her recent books include Securities and Financial Services Law, Commercial Applications of Company Law and Managed Investments Law & Practice. Pamela is a member of the governing board of the Business Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.
Graham is Portfolio Manager and responsible for coverage of commodities, technology and hardware sectors.
Graham is a founding member of Antipodes’ investment team, joining at its inception in 2015. Prior to joining Antipodes, Graham was Head of Research at Perennial International Equities for six years and, while in London, a Portfolio Manager at Merrill Lynch Strategic Investment, a Senior Equity Analyst/Portfolio Manager at BlueCrest Capital and was also at First State Investments UK/Legal & General.
Appointed in October 2020, Tim assumes overall executive responsibility for delivery and governance of ASX’s highest profile project. Tim joined ASX in 2000 and has extensive markets experience and a thorough understanding of the operational, technical and regulatory complexities that drive trading, clearing and settlement. He has been involved in the CHESS replacement project since its inception. During his time at ASX, Tim has held a number of general management roles at ASX, including Executive General Manager of Operations and Chief Operating Officer.
Simon has been advising clients for over twenty years, previously working as a Director with Goldman Sachs JBWere. Simon joined Morgans Camberwell in 2010. Simon has a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) from Deakin University, a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance & investment from the Securities Institute of Australia and a Diploma of Financial Planning from Kaplan Professional.
Michelle worked as lawyer specialising in financial services law, IPOs and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, before taking up the role of legal counsel and compliance manager at Shaw Stockbroking. Michelle previously worked as a policy adviser at Governance Institute of Australia. At SAFAA Michelle undertakes research and analysis for the development of advocacy initiatives and represents the association externally with government, regulators and other bodies.
Senator the Hon Jane Hume
Senator the Hon Jane Hume was first appointed to the Australian Federal Ministry in 2019, with responsibility for Superannuation, Financial Services and Financial Technology. Her responsibilities were expanded in 2020 to encompass the broader digital economy. Upon being elected as a Liberal Senator for Victoria in 2016, Senator Hume was appointed Chair of the Senate Standing Committee on Economics.
Dr Katherine Hunt
Katherine lectures in the Masters of Financial Planning in the Griffith Business School on Ethics and Professionalism in financial services, and researches topic related to ethics in financial advice. Katherine worked as a financial adviser, paraplanner and practice manager for Aspire Financial Planning for five years. With Dr Simon Longstaff and Carolyn Tate, Katherine had authored the key ethics textbook in Australia ‘Everyday ethics for Financial Advisers’ and holds a Doctorate and PhD in Law and Economics.
Prior to his appointment as CEO of Chi-X in January 2018, Mr Jokovic was with Deutsche Bank for over 26 years, most recently as Managing Director, Co- Head of Global Markets Debt and Equity .Mr Jokovic was a senior member of the Deutsche Bank Executive Committee, a number of Global and Regional Executive Committees and was most recently a Board Member of Wilson’s stockbroking, Craig Investment partners NZ and Deutsche Securities Australia Ltd.
The Hon Stephen Jones MP
Stephen Jones is the Federal Member for Whitlam. He was first elected to the Federal Parliament in 2010. He was re-elected at the 2013 election and elected to the re-named seat of Whitlam in the 2016 election. Prior to entering Parliament, he worked as a community worker for various front line disability services, youth and health services and as a lawyer with the ACTU and as the Secretary of the Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU).
Joran is a global fixed income portfolio specialist in the Fixed Income Division of T. Rowe Price based in Hong Kong. He works closely with the local offices in Asia and provides technical knowledge and client servicing. Joran has 21 years of investment experience. Prior to joining T. Rowe Price in 2015, he worked for AllianceBernstein as a fixed income portfolio manager in Tokyo, Melbourne, New York and Wellington and has also worked at the National Bank of New Zealand as a risk analyst and Treasury dealer.

Sherise leads the Virtual Adviser Network (VAN) team, using her diverse business strategy capability to help take advantage of market opportunities. With 25 years’ experience in disruptive business models gained during a career with Macquarie Bank, Alex is a Director of Loftus Peak, a specialist funds management company with a focus on disruptive investment in Australia. Stuart is Executive Vice President and CAO of Canaccord Genuity Group Inc., where he is responsible for oversight of the firm’s global operations, information technology, facilities, human resources and marketing. Michael Rice AO
Michael founded the firm in December 1987 and was the Chief Executive Officer until March 2019. In 2020, Michael was awarded an Officer of the Order of Australia. Michael is a Former Councillor of the Actuaries Institute, a former member of its Public Policy Council Committee from 2014-2019 and was awarded Actuary of the Year for 2017, Member of the Advisory Board of the ANU College of Business and Economics, Trustee director of StatePlus from 2016-2019, and Chair of QSuper’s Investment Committee from 2009- 2013.

Vihari has 20 years of experience and joined Magellan in 2007. Prior to the promotion to Head of Research, Vihari was most recently Head of Franchises and she retains responsibility for research coverage of franchises stocks. Before joining the Franchises team, Vihari was a Senior Analyst on the Financials team. Prior to Magellan, Vihari spent four years as an equity analyst at Ausbil Dexia and worked as a quantitative analyst at Commonwealth Investment Management (now Colonial First State).
Simon is the founder and Director of Behavioural Finance Australia (BFA). He provides specialist behavioural finance training & consulting to financial advisers, fund managers, major super funds and other financial services professionals. Simon is the author of three books on behavioural finance: “Behavioural Finance – A guide for financial advisers”, “Applying Behavioural Finance in Australia” and “Cyborg”.
Mark has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He commenced his career at PwC and has held senior roles in some of Australia’s largest wealth management and advice businesses including ANZ Private Bank and AMP where he led the advice operations integration of AXA and AMP. Brian is the Executive Chairman of Morgans Financial Limited and a member of the firm’s Management, Risk, Remuneration and Branch Services Committees. Brian has over 20 years’ experience in the corporate/financial arena in Europe, Asia and Australia. Brian joined Morgans Financial Limited in 1997 and was appointed Managing Director in 2003 and Executive Chairman in 2016.
Behavioural economist, psychologist, award-winning musician, author and co-founder of Decida, Phil has a driving belief that we can solve most of the social, environmental, economic and political problems around the world if we all become slightly better decision makers. Phil is a behavioural economics adviser for multiple financial institutions, columnist for Money Magazine, regularly provides expert commentary in the media and has authored the books ‘Going Apes#!t’ and ‘Behavioural Economics for Business.’
Andrew commenced with Perennial in July 2008 as a Senior Analyst with the Small Cap team. In 2010 Andrew became a portfolio manager on the Smaller Companies Fund and shared this responsibility until November 2017 when he became Head of Smaller Companies & Micro Caps. Andrew has been lead manager on the Microcap Opportunities Fund since its inception in February 2017. Andrew’s previous role was Head of Research at Linwar Securities, a boutique broker specialising in smaller company research.
Prior to his appointment as CEO in August 2016, Dominic was an independent non-executive director of ASX from December 2013. Dominic has broad experience working in capital and derivatives markets. Prior to ASX, Dominic was the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Challenger, having previously held senior roles overseeing Challenger’s capital, risk management and strategy. Dominic began his career at Bankers Trust Australia where he ultimately held responsibility for the Australian derivatives business and Bankers Trusts’ global metals and agricultural commodity derivatives businesses.
Based in Hong Kong, Sunita is responsible for developing the narrative for sustainable investing in the region, and consulting with and providing expertise to clients on all sustainable indexing discussions and initiatives. Sunita is a subject matter expert and has frequently spoken at industry events and investment bank conferences on ESG and sustainable investing. Sunita also serves as Equity Product Strategist for BlackRock’s iShares business in Asia Pacific. Sunita has over 14 years of industry experience and has worked in Singapore, New York and Hong Kong.

He has been a journalist for the past 47 years with a career spanning coverage of financial services, federal and state politics and industrial relations. This includes his time as a reporter with the Financial Review Group and The Australian, and National Affairs Editor for The Canberra Times before he joined Money Management in 2002.
Andrew’s 30-year career includes roles as a lawyer, economist, management consultant, software executive and entrepreneur, in Australia, Asia and the US. For the past 13 years, he has been involved in Australia’s wealth management industry, establishing and running two investment platforms for financial advisers and their clients. In 2016 Andrew conceptualised and co-founded a unique, ground-breaking wealth-tech platform called OpenInvest – the Australian market’s first managed portfolio platform designed to enable partners such as asset managers and wealth managers to reach the under-served mass market of Australian investors.
Phil is a director, adviser and investor with a focus on sustainable finance. He was previously CEO and Managing Director of Australian Ethical Investment. Prior to that he was Group Executive with Perpetual Limited in charge of their Corporate Trust and Securitisation business. Appointed to the SAFAA Board in February 2021, Chris has worked in financial services since 2003 holding a variety of positions in Institutional Sales, operations, risk and compliance both in Perth and London. Chris is Managing Director of Entrust Wealth Management and a Director of the Euroz Charitable Foundation. Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce from UWA, a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance and has passed the FASEA professional qualifications exam.
Scott was appointed to the SAFAA Board in November 2015. Scott is currently the Managing Director, Head of Platforms and Institutional Funds Group at UBS. Prior to joining UBS in 1996 Scott worked at Deloitte Australia. Scott has held numerous roles at UBS including Head of Platform Solutions and Equities Chief Operating Officer – Australasia. Scott has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of NSW and has qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Scott has also been a member of ASIC’s Market Advisory Panel since 2010.
Peter has more than 20 years’ experience in the cyber security sector working with analysts, CISOs, senior executives and policy makers in the delivery of a broad range of innovative cyber security monitoring and reporting solutions to government, critical infrastructure and commercial customers. He has wide corporate experience having, prior to founding Huntsman Security, established a successful strategic consultancy in the finance sector and before that, was a senior executive in a global ASX Top 20 company.
Based in Hong Kong, Catherine works within the investment team and with Fidelity’s Equity Portfolio Managers. Catherine is responsible for product management and communication of the firm’s Asia Pacific ex-Japan equity investment capabilities across all client channels and geographies. Catherine is a regular market commentator and appears on Bloomberg, CNBC, BBC, Sky News Australia, BNN Canada, Channel News Asia, TV Monde, Deutsche Welle and Sweden’s DiTV. Catherine joined Fidelity in 2006 and has accumulated over 23 years of experience working in the investment industry.
