Is history about to repeat as the Magnificent 7 drive the tech sector to dot.com highs?

Wednesday 10 April from 1.00 to 2.00pm

In 2023, the Magnificent 7 significantly influenced market growth. The technology sector has now eclipsed its all-time high relative to the S&P 500, exceeding its dot.com bubble highs. So, this begs the question, will history repeat itself? Is this a bubble and what is the risk of another tech wreck? Contrary to these fears, we argue that the current situation differs, emphasising the technology sector’s attractiveness for the next 3-5 years and providing insight into key factors to consider such as earnings-driven stock performance, reasonable valuations vastly different from the dot-com era and a positive outlook supported by AI-driven spending.
