Stockbrokers Association of Australia Membership is open to:

Principal |
Organisations that hold a Financial Services License and are an ASX Market Participant are eligible to become a Principal Member of the Stockbrokers Association. |

Stockbrokers Association Affiliate Membership is open to organisations that do not qualify for SAA Principal Membership. Your organisation would typically provide services to the industry such as legal, accounting, technology, education, training, research and information service. |

| Individuals |
Honorary Life Fellow (FSAA) |
In accordance with the SAA Rules, the Managing Director and Board of SAA may appoint a single Honorary Life Fellow each year. The Honorary Life Fellows of SAA are:
- Maurice Newman
- Brendan Egan
- Richard Humphry
- Trevor Lands
- Ronald Hay
- Russell McCrory

| Practitioner |
The SAA offers employees of a licensed market participant an opportunity to be recognised as professional industry practitioners. Practitioner members must comply with ALL the following guidelines:
- Demonstrate they are a fit and proper person by continuously complying with the SAA Good Fame and Character criteria.
- Have met the SAA knowledge and skills requirements as required in the application.
- Commit to meet the SAA Continuing Professional Development requirements.
There are three Practitioner Membership categories:
Master (MSAA) To be eligible, you must have:
- Employment experience of at least 7 years in the stockbroking industry
- Been either an ASX Affiliate, or an ASX RE at the time of application
Member (MESAA)
To be eligible, you must have:
- Employment experience of between 1- 3 years in an advising, operations or management capacity within the stockbroking industry
Associate (ASAA)
To be eligible, you must have:
- Employment experience in an advising, operations or management capacity within the stockbroking industry

| Affiliate(AFSAA) |
This category is open to applicants who do not qualify for Practitioner Membership, yet whose employment or business is significantly exposed to the stockbroking industry. Eligible applicants would typically provide services to the industry such as legal, accounting, technology, education, training, research and information services, or provide advice and/or dealing services to clients in securities without being an ASX Market Participant. |

Membership approval is at the discretion of the Profession Committee and the Stockbrokers Association of Australia’s Board of Directors. |
